What is personal data?

Personal data is any data that can be traced back to a person. Examples include names, addresses, telephone numbers and account numbers. Sometimes we aggregate or anonymise personal data so that it is no longer traceable to individuals.

What personal data do we collect and what do we use it for?

Personal data can be divided into categories. We use NAW and contact data. These are first names, initials, surname, gender, address, postal code, place of residence, e-mail address, telephone number and date of birth. We use this data for:

  • To send requested (free) downloads or deliver an order via our website.
  • To process your order and inform you about its progress.
  • To process your subscription to our mailing.
  • To communicate with you by sending digital newsletters.
  • To communicate with you about your request for an introductory meeting or interest in one of our services.
  • To answer your questions by e-mail or telephone.
  • Research into the quality of services provided by Spong Advocaten
  • Customer service

The processing of these data is necessary for the performance or conclusion of an agreement or to comply with a legal obligation.

Cookie statement

Spong Advocaten uses cookies from Google Analytics for website measurements. This only sees which pages are visited, no statistics or data are stored about the visitor.

Do we share data with other parties?

Spong Advocaten never shares personal data without consent unless required by law. We only pass on the data you provide to third parties if this is necessary for the delivery of the products ordered, or services requested, by you. This is, for example, a postal company that collects, transports and delivers mail. These organisations receive only the necessary data, such as the address and possibly a telephone number or e-mail address for making an appointment.

Spong Advocaten ensures that data exchange is within the legal framework. This includes organisational and technical measures to ensure clients’ privacy.

How we secure personal data

Spong Advocaten takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to counter abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact our client service or via info@spongadvocaten.com

How long we keep personal data

Spong Advocaten will not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data is collected.

Access, correct or delete data

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your possible consent to data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by Spong Advocaten and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold on you in a computer file to you or another organisation named by you.

You can send a request for inspection, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to info@spongadvocaten.com. To ensure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request.

In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.
