Spong pro bono

The lawyers of our firm can also take your case pro bono. That is if your income is not too high according to the rules of the Legal Aid Board. This is an independent governmental organisation that assesses if you qualify for legal assistance pro bono (subsidized legal aid). If you have a partner than the Legal Aid Board assesses your combined income. If you qualify for subsidized legal aid then the Legal Aid Board will pay our firm. In that case the Legal Aid Board still requests that you pay a relatively small fee. The height of this fee varies between € 176,- up till € 951,- depending on your (combined) income.
If you are in pre-trial detention then you are not obliged to pay this fee. It is possible however that the Legal Aid Board retroactively requests that you pay back the amount of subsidezed legal aid granted. That is if your income was too high during (pre-trial) detention.

Our lawyers can help you further if you have any questions about the possibilities for subsidized legal aid.

It does not matter for the quality of our legal assistance if we take on your case pro bono or based on our hourly fee. Our lawyers always want to achieve the best result.
